GSA was appointed by Northern Trust to deliver civil and structural engineering services for a new industrial development at Sneckyeat, Whitehaven. Challenging topography and an existing estate road resulted in the development being split across two sites, with GSA engaged from planning stage through to detailed design.

GSA’s scope covered Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy at planning stage, the design and detail of enabling works including an extensive cut and fill exercise and the construction of retaining walls on both sites, and the full scope of civil and structural engineering design services to the substructure and superstructure across both sites.
